What division am I in?
The AYSO breakdown of divisions is based on the child’s AGE, not GRADE. The age cutoff is July 31st.,
preceding the season.
Here is the breakdown of divisions for the 2008-2009 Season:

Players ages are based on July 31 before the season begins. If you’re born on July 31,
1998, you would be 10. If you’re born on August 1, 1998, you’re 9.
Divisions are organized in 2 year increments, so a player who is 8 or 9 is in U(nder)-10; a player who is 12 or 13 is in U-14, etc.
